Day 1: Thursday, November 8th; The Trip to Indianapolis

They're off!

After a New York Thruway stop for a bus driver break, we arrived at Braden Jr. High School, Astabula, Oh. for practice. Practice was a little shakey, the practice was rough due to a recent aireation it was sunny and breezy.

Arrived at hotel and "settled" into the rooms.

Day 2: Friday, November 9th; The Preliminaries

7:30am
In full uniform, on the buses headed for the RCA Dome. Silent ride was the order of the morning, as the students prepared themselves mentally for their upcoming performance. We arrived at the dome and entered the staging area for sectionals and warmups.

9:15am
We had arrived at the portico entrance to the field, the students were excited but ready! The prelim performance which took place at 9:30am was phenominal!!! The instructors felt it was their best performance to date. The students were all very elated with their performance as well. Goosebumps were had by all who watched this amazing performance!! Now on to another afternoon of practice and then we wait for the results!!

9:45pm
Mr. Fischette arrived to fill everyone in on the results of the preliminaries. The competition was extremely stiff this year. Although Webster put on their best show, we did not make the semi-finals. There was disappointment, but that gradually turned around as the students rallied around each other. Mr. Fischette related how proud he was of the band and how far they we come this year.

Day 3: Saturday, November 10th

10:00am
Today is to be a relaxing wrapup for the trip. A rare opportunity, the group slept in until the 10am wakeup call.

11:30am
The middle of the day was spent at a local mall. A chance to spend more money!

2:00pm
Back at at the hotel, some free time before dinner.

4:00pm
A big pasta dinner, then free time in the hotel - cards, Nintendo, and practicing with new colorguard flags purchased at the dome.

6:30pm
Now it's time to enjoy the show - back to the Dome to watch the Finals.

Day 4: Sunday, November 11th; The Trip Home

5:30am
Wakeup!

7:00am
In preparation for the long trip, everyone re-energized with an early breakfast.

11:15am
The first rest stop was near Columbus, Ohio. The next planned stop is around 2pm for lunch.

5:20pm
Currently in the Erie, Pennsylvania area, the current expected arrival time at home is 8-8:30pm.
